Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations on Friday noida twin tower demolition, And said that the safety of the people should be the top priority. Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari on Friday chaired a meeting with officials of the authority, UP Pollution Control Board, CBRI and Edifice Engineering, where CBRI agreed to demolish the two towers.
On the recommendation of the Noida Authority, the Aviation Ministry has agreed to make the area a no-flying zone at the time of demolition.
The UP Pollution Control Board will set up a manual ambient air quality monitoring station at six locations in the affected area to measure the air pollution after the demolition. The stations have been made operational from today.
Four mechanical sweeping machines have been installed at the authority level for cleanliness among the affected, while 100 sanitation workers have also been deployed. Apart from this, 50 water tankers have been arranged for washing of roads, footpaths, middle and trees and plants in the affected area.
Noida’s health department is preparing for any emergency that may arise after the collapse of India’s tallest structures. Officials said that apart from the government-run facilities, three private hospitals are also gearing themselves up to accommodate patients in case of any untoward incident.
The Noida Authority has also set up a control room which will register complaints to deal with any emergency after the building collapses. The control room will start functioning from 6:00 am on August 28 and will be operational for 24 hours till August 30. Noida MLA Pankaj Singh reached Supertech Emerald Court Society on Saturday and while talking to the residents said that no one will be spared. He said that he spoke to the residents of the society about their safety and how to reduce pollution levels.
